I stopped by Gears DIY Garage to see if they could help me learn how to replace the brakes on my car—something I’ve never done before. They were more than happy to help! The team stayed in touch while ordering the parts we needed, and once everything arrived, David walked me through the entire process. He got me set up, explained each step clearly, and guided me the whole way while I worked on the car. It was a blast learning something new, and the experience was made even better by how clean, well-equipped, and air-conditioned the space was. Gears DIY Garage is a lifesaver! We were at Padre Island (we live in Cincinnati OH) and my brake pads started grinding. I'm always weary of getting major work done out of town and getting ripped off. I had no tools and no place to work on my car. Gears is a "do it yourself" garage where they supply all the tools and if you need a car lift, they have that too! But you do your own work. (I've worked on my own cars for years) However, they also have professional mechanics that you can pay to do the work. I was able to get all my parts at the O'reillys (or Auto Zone) down the street. I rented a bay with a lift and Gears DIY supplied all the tools(big toolbox ful…
